The latest midseason patch for Overwatch 2 has arrived, aiming to balance out some of the strong picks in the current meta. The introduction of Juno has led to a significant reduction in health and damage output, making the game more focused on mobile heroes. This patch is the most aggressive since Wrecking Ball’s release in 2018.
In addition to the usual balance changes, this patch introduces a major crossover with World of Warcraft, new end-of-season events, and the return of Mystery Heroes. Here’s everything you need to know about the new patch:

**New Competitive Drive Events**
The new patch introduces Competitive Drives, a new event that rewards players with bonus competitive points and improved cosmetic card designs called «Signatures» at the end of each season.
**Faster Clash and Flashpoint Games**
Another welcome change is the update to Clash and Flashpoint maps. Defenders in Clash now reappear two seconds faster for each point taken by the opposing team. In Flashpoint, the speed boost from capture points now lasts longer, with an initial boost of two seconds that extends to over six seconds.
**New Bug Fixes**
Finally, we have new bug fixes that targeted a popular exploit, including the one involving Mei’s ice powers and Lifeweaver’s petal platform.
Here are all the bugs that have been fixed in the September 2024 midseason update:
* Lifeweaver’s petal platform continues to lift off when interacting with Mei’s ice effects.
* Infinite wall climbing and rebalancing.
* Players did not earn credits when queuing for all roles in challenges and progression statistics.
* Lifeweaver’s petal platform moves horizontally if placed on a moving object.
* Deadeye indicates a mistaken kill shot on Ramattra.
* Sound remains muffled if you use a teleporter while impaired.
* D.Va’s speed boosters stack multiplicatively with speed-increasing abilities.
* Gravity’s damage reduction affects the percentage of health damage dealt by Sigma’s gravity pull.
* Armor reduces more damage than intended when a hero has multiple health reserve armors.
